This training course has been designed especially for Casting Directors to develop their understanding of the role that physical demand plays in the casting process and to empower them to create inclusive, transparent breakdowns.

The recently published Impact of Injury Report found a significant absence of transparency in casting breakdowns relative to the physical demand of roles, a reality which has created harmful barriers to accessibility and safe practice in production. 

A casting breakdown is the window through which a performer has sight of the nature of their potential future role, and the information within can support them to make informed decisions about pursuing it. That is what makes breakdowns a key piece of the injury prevention puzzle.   

What to expect:

• Part-time or intensive online training options

• Learn about the fundamentals of transparent casting breakdowns

• Learn how to identify key areas of physical demand of acting or performance roles

• Learn how to embed the IPC casting code method during breakdown creation

• Successfully complete to become an IPC Associate
